Paves Vetagro Limited has embarked on a registration process to register farmers to the M-Vet app to be able to get the latest updates on farming and farm related tips.
Paves Vetagro Team holding Livestock Owners and Farmers Training Workshops in Turkana County, May 2019. The Training Focused on:
• Livestock production and farming husbandry best practices.
• Animal diseases and disease surveillance, reporting and control.
• Safe use and disposal of drugs and chemicals.
• Livestock and livestock products marketing.
Paves Vetagro is able to offer last mile distribution, supplying inputs to smallholder farmers and pastoralists in remote areas. In such areas, access to high quality inputs and services (e.g. certified seeds, equipment, vaccines, AI) is often lacking. With support from AgriFI, Paves Vetagro seeks to increase its market share by expanding its presence in ASALs.
Through the project, Paves Vetagro aims to:
Establish two input distribution and training centres with solar powered cold chain facilities for storage and distribution of vaccines, thereby improve access to sustainable and affordable livestock inputs and services for pastoralists.
Develop targeted training modules and capacity building programmes to equip pastoralists and community based animal health workers to practice good animal husbandry and proper use and disposal of animal health drugs.
