3. How we use your information

4. Legal basis

We process personal data on the basis of contract performance (fulfilling your orders), legal obligation (tax and regulatory compliance), and legitimate business interests. We never sell personal data.

5. Sharing

We share the minimum information necessary with trusted service providers: M-PESA/Safaricom (payment processing), couriers and transporters (delivery), and our website/technology providers. All are bound by confidentiality obligations. We do not share personal data for third-party marketing.

6. Retention

Order and financial records are retained as required by Kenyan law (including tax law — at least 5 years). Other personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. To exercise any right, contact us at +254 721 832700 or info@pavesvetagro.co.ke. We respond within the statutory timelines.

8. Complaints

If you are unsatisfied with how we handle your data, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) at complaints@odpc.go.ke or www.odpc.go.ke.

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and least-privilege principles — to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version with its "last updated" date will always be published on this page.
